How You Can Benefit

I mainly use acupuncture with the addition of massage and herbs/dietary advice if required, for the following categories:

For example, back pain, headaches/migraine.

Women’s Health
As an aid for issues of fertility, pregnancy, menopause, menstruation and fibroids.

Preventative
Improving a sense of well-being, revitalising low energy, relaxation and improved sleep.

Facial Acupuncture
A very relaxing and popular treatment which can also address any underlying disharmonies.

What to expect on your first visit

Be prepared to answer questions about your medical history and your present general well-being (e.g. sleeping patterns, digestion, energy levels etc).

Your tongue/pulses (on each wrist) will be observed.

If possible wear loose clothing and try not to have a heavy meal just before a consultation.

The needles will usually be retained in the skin for at least 20 minutes although sometimes for a second.

It is sensible to tell your GP about having treatment.

Please allow 1 hour for the duration of your treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

This depends on you condition and how long you have had it, but in general expect to have between 3 and 6 weekly sessions initially. In some cases, regular monthly visits are advised afterwards to help keep you in top condition.
